EQUALITY COVERALL
HAND DYED COVERALL WITH HAND EMBROIDERED LION’S HEAD
A coverall, which cannot solve society’s inequalities and injustices. The intention is to get you to thinking about our society’s current state of mind, to encourage you to reflect upon your concerns of a fair society.
The hand-dyed = sign, a symbol in its simplest form, represents equality. The hand embroidered lion’s head made from = signs, gracing the coverall’s back, stands for justice and fairness; a symbolic meaning the animal represents to encourage its wearer. Furthermore the abstract lion’s head is screen printed on the belt buckle’s tags. The chosen neon orange color serves as a reference to the prisoner’s uniform.
