Based on a great interest in sociocultural topics, Mattle Studio combines symbolic meanings with fashion and art. Starting out with a certain topic the process of creation always involves a kind of research, either in the form of collages or some sort of brainstorming. Although the focus is on objects one can wear, Mattle Studio does not limit itself to clothing. Its work can also take other forms such as a drawing of a symbol or a pattern. However, the intention is always the same, to empower and to protect. The owner or the wearer should feel a symbolic cover, to feel free to accomplish whatever they value.

Situated in Berne, Switzerland, Mattle Studio is especially inspired by the experiences in New York City. Mattle Studio does not think in collections in a common sense, rather in projects, usually using artisanal techniques and experimenting. Structures, textures, contrasts and fabric manipulations play a crucial role in creating the intended strength for a piece.
